BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The export value of Chinese automobiles exported to the countries related to the Belt and Road Initiative from Xiamen ports reached 725 million yuan in the first four months of 2020, rising 28.26 percent from a year earlier, data from Xiamen Customs showed.
Analysts point out that as Chinese automobile industry have resumed production, vehicle export has seen recovery and car makers are actively exploring emerging markets along the Belt and Road.
Many automobile companies in Xiamen Customs area, represented by King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., are seeking opportunities in markets along the Belt and Road, such as Malaysia, Egypt and Singapore.
To facilitate the companies, Xiamen customs has designated special staff to work with the exporting companies, help them prepare for clearance and coordinate relative ports to reserve special operating area.
