BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The expenditure of Beijing's general public budget came to 267.95 billion yuan in the first four months of this year, accounting for 38.1 percent of the annual budget, data from the Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau showed on Thursday.
According to the Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau, the fiscal spending maintained rapid growth in fields centering on the epidemic prevention and control and support for enterprises development.
From January to April, the fiscal expenditures in hygiene and health rose 12.8 percent year on year to over 19.98 billion yuan.
The fiscal spending in social security and employment reached 52.77 billion yuan during the period, up 23.2 percent year on year.
