BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Wednesday issued a guideline to boost the development of industrial big data sector, reported Economic Information Daily Thursday.
The guideline clarifies to support digital transformation of equipment of industrial enterprises, build national databases in raw material, equipment, consumer goods, electronic information and other sectors, and cultivate a batch of data resource service providers and leading data service companies.
In order to expedite data aggregation, it requires continuous progress in industrial Internet construction, the building of national industrial Internet big data centers and multi-model national industrial foundation databases, and the development of industrial chain atlas and supply chain maps.
In terms of deepening data application, the document requires to improve the data application capabilities of small- and medium-sized enterprises by opening data service resources to them, speed up the the softwarization of industrial knowledge, technology and experience, and nurture a batch of industrial apps for different scenarios as well as big data solutions providers in key sectors.
It also proposes to promote policy banks to strengthen related credit support and encourage innovative products and services by financial institutions to support industrial big data innovation and entrepreneurship. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
