BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Inner Mongolia is the earliest autonomous region of ethnic minorities in China. Located in North China, it has a long frontier line neighboring Mongolia and Russia.
The Inner Mongolia autonomous region has achieved steady economic development. Six key industries - energy, metallurgy and construction materials, agricultural and livestock products, chemicals, equipment and high technology - are playing vital roles in its development.
With the continuous improvement of the investment and business environment, more than 40 European and American countries and regions have invested here, through diversified investment modes. Increasing individual proprietorships have extended their investment to the primary, secondary and tertiary industries. With the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and key policies like deepening the supply-side structural reform, Inner Mongolia will play a more significant role as the national gateway to open up northwards.
