May 11, 2020

Abstract : Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co., Ltd. , a leading solar products manufacturer in China, recently inked an agreement with ERS Energy Sdn Bhd, a Kuala Lumpur-based solar energy company in Malaysia, to deliver 183Megawatts (MW) high efficiency solar modules forolar farm projects in the Philippines.

BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co., Ltd. (Seraphim), a leading solar products manufacturer in China, recently inked an agreement with ERS Energy Sdn Bhd (ERS), a solar energy company headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to deliver 183 Megawatts (MW) high efficiency solar modules for solar farm projects in the Philippines.

Seraphim is the module provider while ERS is the EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contractor of the solar farm projects set to be located in Alaminos of Laguna Province and Gigasol of Zambales Province in the Philippines.

Seraphim's 158.75mm half-cell monocrystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) modules will be used in these projects.

With innovative design, the company's half-cell modules boast lower current and series resistance which can minimize mismatch losses, internal power losses and shadow effects. The high output of these modules can also maximize power generation on a constrained land area, significantly saving costs for large-scale power plants.

"We are pleased to sign this supply agreement with ERS to further strengthen our long-term strategic relationship. We strive to support the Philippines to meet its renewable energy goals by utilizing our years of experience and technology advantages." said Polaris Li, president of Seraphim.

"Seraphim and ERS have maintained excellent cooperation for many years. We are impressed by Seraphim's passion and professionalism in the solar industry which makes it an ideal partner. We are determined to join hands to deliver high quality, safe and reliable products to our customers," said Jonathan Kan, the Managing Director with ERS.

Seraphim has been enhancing its presence in the Philippine market since 2016, and the delivery of 183MW Modules will help add another milestone to the company's product portfolio in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

Founded in 2011, Seraphim specializes in research, development, production and sales of solar photovoltaic products. To date, more than 8GW Seraphim's products have been installed in over 40 countries worldwide. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
