BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- China's automobile sales are expected to reach 2 million units in April, up 39.8 percent month on month and 0.9 percent year on year, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said Thursday.
From January to April, China sold a total of 5.67 million vehicles, down 32.1 percent year on year, according to the CAAM.
China's auto sector is expected to continue recovery in the second half of this year as the country's authorities unveiled a slew of preferential policies to revive the world' largest auto market.
Industry experts suggested that Chinese auto manufacturers must strive to master core technologies in an attempt to form competitive edges in global industrial chains.
