BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) --Total foreign trade volume of Ningbo, a port city in east China's Zhejiang Province, was 184.22 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2020, while its high-tech products import and export bucked the downward trend with a growth, statistics released by Ningbo Customs on Wednesday showed.
Both import and export of high-tech products increased respectively by 12.5
percent and 5.5 percent to 8.46
billion yuan and 9.94 billion yuan in the period.
Mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products were the main export commodities of Ningbo in the first quarter, with export value reaching 63.86 billion yuan and 28.85 billion yuan respectively.
The European Union (excluding the United Kingdom), the United States and ASEAN countries are the top three trading partners of Ningbo during the first quarter, with a trade volume of 30.66 billion yuan, 26.36 billion yuan and 21.66 billion yuan respectively.
