BEIJING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- China Life Insurance Co., one of the country's biggest insurers, said its premium income rose 13 percent in the first quarter of 2020.
The revenue reached about 307.8 billion yuan (about 32.56 billion U.S. dollars), increasing from 272.4 billion yuan a year ago, according to unaudited figures released by the insurer.
Last year, the insurer saw its net profits more than quadruple, according to a performance report on its website.
The premium income came in at 567.09 billion yuan in 2019, with its net profit attributable to shareholders skyrocketed 411.5 percent year on year to 58.29 billion yuan. Enditem
