BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province saw its actual use of foreign capital in the first quarter of 2020 stand at 98.64 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.99 percent year-on-year.
A total of 20 new foreign-invested enterprises were established in the province from January to March 2020, with a contractual foreign investment of 160 million U.S. dollars, a jump of 296 percent year-on-year.
In the first quarter, the province made efforts to overcome the adverse effects of the COVID-19 outbreak and adopt innovative ways to attract foreign investment.
As of April 10, the work resumption rate of the foreign-funded enterprises in Heilongjiang Province has reached 82 percent.
It is learned that the province's actual use of foreign capital in 2019 amounted to 540 million U.S. dollars, up 15.6 percent. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
