CAIRO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Huawei has become a partner of choice for telecom carriers in Saudi Arabia for 5G network development, helping the kingdom fulfil its 5G ambitions through a broad range of end-to-end solutions, Charles Yang, President of Huawei Middle East, said recently.
Chinese tech giant Huawei has worked with various government ministries and enterprises in Saudi Arabia to create value from the wider digital transformation.
The company has launched its own Saudi Talent Enablement Program (STEP) in an attempt to ease the current talent shortage while promoting Saudi competitiveness in a digital era.
In late March, Huawei announced the appointment of Terry He as CEO for Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
Based in Riyadh, He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Huawei's Saudi operations and guiding the company's work as a strategic partner in accelerating digital transformation in the kingdom.
Previously, He worked closely with organizations in various sectors such as government, oil & gas, education, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, and construction, and embraced advanced emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, etc.
Huawei is growing rapidly in the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia, with digital transformation being embraced by all organizations and within the wider Vision 2030.
Yang said that Huawei hopes to bring digital technologies to every person, home and organization, create lasting value for customers, work for enrich life, and inspire innovation in organizations of all shapes and sizes.
