BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Loaded with 690Volvo vehicles, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train departed from Xi'an port on March 27 on its way to Europe, marking the resumption of exports of Volvo cars to Europe.
Starting from western China's Shaanxi province, the Chang'an freight train will arrived in Ghent, Belgium in 27 days.
In order to ensure smooth export of Volvo cars, after the epidemic outbreak, Xi'an Port has opened a green channel to ensure non-contact entrance of transport vehicles. Meanwhile, delivery is ensured by adding public train containers.
It is learned that in the first three months of this year, a total of 3,377 Volvo Cars were transported by China-Europe freight trains from Xi'an to Europe. (Edited by Bao Nuomin with Xinhua Silk Road, baonuomin@xinhua.org)
