BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Local customs in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province recently unveils 12 measures to support the operation of the China-Europe freight train in terms of improving the customs clearance efficiency, expanding the scope of business, and enhance port functions, according to the Zhengzhou Customs.
Simplified customs clearances will be granted to waybills of cargoes with the features such as the same entry and exit port, the same train number, as well as the same product name, to reduce the cost of customs declaration.
The local customs will facilitate the implementation of the measures on mutual recognition and facilitation of customs clearance with the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) of countries along the China-Europe freight train routes.
More businesses concern with cross-border e-commerce, express, and mail transport service are encouraged to be conducted by freight trains. At the same time, the customs should solve difficulties facing enterprises on import and export businesses.
Meanwhile, efforts should be made to carry out the business of organizing goods and inter-modal transportations of domestic and foreign trade at the customs supervision site, said the local customs.
Since Zhengzhou's launch of the China-Europe freight train service in 2013, its transportation network has reached 130 cities in more than 30 countries in the European Union, Russia and Central Asia, with more than 5,000 trade partners at home and abroad.
