URUMQI, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has invested nearly 100 million yuan (about 14 million U.S. dollars) since 2018 to construct and upgrade the power grid in its border areas.
Over 9,000 households in 86 rural villages of Xinjiang will benefit from the investment, according to the Xinjiang branch of the State Grid Corporation of China.
The power grid renovation and upgrade projects in these villages are scheduled to be completed by the end of June.
