InfoQuest (March 11, 2020) - Thai prime minister as well as ministers of Interior, Public Health and Transport attended a press conference after an urgent discussion on how to respond to Covid-19 that is spreading rapidly in many countries worldwide. At the press conference, the minister of Interior announced the cancellation of Visa on Arrival (VoA) for 18 countries as per the Immigration Act. As a result, foreign tourists must contact the Thai embassies in each country if they want to enter Thailand.
In the meanwhile, Free Visa policy for tourists from badly-hit Italy, South Korea and Hong Kong will also be suspended temporarily until the situation returns to normal.
