BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The negative impact of the novel coronavirus peumonia epidemic on China's electronics industry and related enterprises is not obvious, the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal quoted Li Xingqian, director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), as saying on Thursday.
Li noted that although China's major trading partners, especially Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK), witnessed an escalating outbreak, which to some extent weighed on the production resumption of Chinese foreign trade enterprises, imports of related electronic products still maintained an upward streak.
According to Li, the MOC will pay close attention to the epidemic situation outside China and its impact on Chinese foreign trade enterprises in an effort to help enterprises resume work and production, improve delivery capacity and restore normal production capacity as soon as possible.
Besides, the MOC will attach great importance to promoting the coordination of upstream and downstream enterprises and maintaining the stability of the industrial chain in a bid to achieve common development, Li said.
