BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will strengthen infrastructure construction in the period from 2020 to 2022, according to the local newspaper on Monday.
The region will focus on the construction of "five networks" including the transportation networks, energy networks, information networks, logistics networks, and underground pipeline networks.
It will make efforts to promote construction of 2,817 projects under the "five networks", with total investment of more than 2.2 trillion yuan in 2020-2022. The region plans to invest more than 1 trillion yuan in three years, of which 263 billion yuan investment will be completed in 2020, 358 billion yuan in 2021, and 381 billion yuan in 2022, according to the report.
Meanwhile, the region will accelerate the infrastructure construction for China-ASEAN Information Harbour, and aim to build an efficient logistics network with services covering the ASEAN and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by 2022. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
