BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- China’s railway, electricity and civil aviation sectors have rolled out a series of measures to help companies resume work and production.
According to the statistics released by the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the country's state-operated railways handled 310 million tonnes of cargo in February, an increase of 13.32 million tonnes, or up 4.5 percent year-on-year. After the outbreak of novel coronovirus, a total of 203,000 tonnes of anti-virus materials had been sent via railways as of February 29.
China Railway Xi'an Group and China Railway Shanghai Group have arranged sets of customized trains for migrant workers' returning to work amid the fight against the novel coronavirus. China Railway Shenyang Group has added personnel to fast-track check-ins and security inspections.
In the meanwhile, State Grid Corporation of China has been shoring up efforts to ensure power supply for enterprises.
China's aviation industry also plays a role in providing support for the resumption of work. China Southern Airlines had restored more than 4,800 flights as of February 27 to aid the work resumption of enterprises across the country. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
