BISSAU, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Guinea-Bissau's President of the National People's Assembly Cipriano Cassama praised China's efforts and good measures to fight the coronavirus epidemic, according to a letter received by Xinhua on Thursday.
Cassama expressed his and the Parliament's solidarity with China in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.
He also praised China's strategy to contain the spreading of the disease, including "quarantine measures adopted in Hubei Province".
Cassama expressed his total solidarity with the families of the victims of COVID-19.
In addition, several public and private institutions in Guinea-Bissau have expressed their solidarity with the Chinese people, including the government, the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC), the Association of Former Bissau-Guinean Students in China, the Civil Society Organization and the Guinea-Bissau-China Friendship Association.
