BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Sanquan Food Co., Ltd. (Sanquan Food, 002216.SZ), one of China's leading companies engaged in production and distribution of quick-frozen food products, raked in revenue of 5.992 billion yuan and net profits of 211 million yuan in 2019, up 8.16 percent and 106.69 percent year on year respectively, according to a statement released by Sanquan on Monday.
The increase in net profits was partially driven by the company's optimization of product mix, expansion of sales channels, and improvement of organizational efficiency in the traditional retail sector.
In terms of quick-frozen food products, Sanquan still faces problems about the utilization of these semi-finished products which are seldom used in catering kitchens, mainly due to the design of the product which cannot accurately meets the catering requirements and the few concepts of quick-frozen for catering.
In the future, the company will further expand market share in the catering industry and catering channels with improvements in cost efficiency of markets and operating efficiency. (Edited by Gao Jingyan, gaojingyan@xinhua.org)
