InfoQuest (February 20, 2020) -- Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is deeply concerned about the medical staff who are caring for the patients, asking them to pay attention to their health and hygiene to reduce the risk of infection, and reminding Thais to follow the advice of the Ministry of Public Health, according to the government spokesperson Narumon Pinyo Sinwat.

Ms. Narumon said the prime minister has specifically called for strict control of the Covid-19 virus, and as yet the Ministry of Public Health has raised the level of screening for passengers from countries affected by the Covid-19 outbreak to the same level for passengers from Wuhan, where the virus originates, and also conducted screening for airline staff arriving at Thai airports. The prime minister reminded Thais to follow the advice of the Ministry of Public Health, including eating hot food, using serving spoons and washing hands frequently.
