BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train loaded with 50 containers departed on Monday from the city of Xiamen, a coastal city in south China's Fujian Province, marking the second freight train leaving the province since the city resumed work after the Spring Festival holiday, reported Chinanews.com Tuesday.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, most of the China-Europe freight trains have been suspended or delayed, and the number of trains has dropped to four trains since January 25 in Xiamen.
According to local customs, as of February 16, freight trains departed from Xiamen has shipped a total of 358 standard containers, including cargoes such as display screens and circuit boards, as well as mechanical products and daily necessities.
Xiamen plans to operate seven to eight export freight trains in February this year. (Edited by Jiang Feifan).
