BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan Province on Wednesday unveiled 22 measures to stabilize its economic development amid the epidemic of the novel coronavirus pneumonia.
According to a circular released by the local government, the province will help enterprises resume work and production, reduce the cost of entity enterprises, and ensure supplies of materials for epidemic prevention and control.
At present, the province has to focus on the epidemic control on one hand and ensure the smooth economic development on the other, according to Zhao Xiuchun, deputy chief of Yunnan Development and Reform Commission.
The province's GDP expanded 8.1 percent year on year to reach about 2.32 trillion yuan in 2019, according to the local statistics bureau. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
