InfoQuest, (February 13, 2020) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit hosted a meeting of the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services (CCP).
After the meeting, he said that the meeting decided to list medical masks and related production materials as well as alcohol-based hand sanitizers as price-controlled products, and will submit it to the cabinet meeting for deliberation tomorrow. Once it is approved, an announcement will be issued immediately for implementation.
The announcement to list medical masks and related production materials as well as alcohol-based hand sanitizers as price-controlled products will allow the Thai Ministry of Commerce (MOC) to introduce trade regulation measures. For example, MOC may require manufacturers, importers and distributors to report clear cost information and sales prices, and may also take measures in exports in the future, such as stipulating the export volume or formulating the stipulation of applying for an export license.
After medical masks and related production materials as well as alcohol-based hand sanitizers are listed as price-controlled products, the number of the price-controlled products and services will increase from 52 to 54.
