MILAN, Jan. 28 (Class Editori) - The expansion of Antares on the Far East markets is going on. After Hong Kong, it is Shenzhen's turn. The board of Directors gave the green light to the opening of a new branch in China, in the city of Guangdong, 100 percent controlled by Antares Vision APAC. After the establishment of the branch in Hong Kong in 2019, the decision is aiming at strengthening the business on the Chinese market, fostering the presence on the Eastern markets of the enterprise specialized in visual inspection systems and in traceability solutions
According to an official note, the decision is going hand in hand with the "Made in China 2025" plan, launched in 2015 by the Chinese Government to ensure to the country the technological leadership of its products. Government authorities set forth policies to grant and improve the products' quality and to fight against counterfeiting.
Therefore, "the portfolio of Antares Vision solutions is surely of our interest, also after the takeover of FT System, leader in control and inspection solutions in the beverage sector", as the company established by Emidio Zorzella and Massimo Bonardi has highlighted. "Pharmaceutical industry is still a priority in the Chinese development plan, in which the expertise and knowhow of Antare Vision can make the difference in ensuring products’ quality and fighting counterfeiting".
The branch opening in China is expected within this year and it will be a commercial branch aiming at improving and strengthening the closeness to the Chinese market.
The arrival at Piazza Affari trough SPAC ALP.I (promoted by Mediobanca, Stefano Giambelli, Roberto Marsella, Massimo Perona and Stefano Rangone and listed on the AIM since 2018) has been designed to support the growth on foreign markets thanks to acquisitions.
Last year, in addition to Hong Kong, two new branches have been opened in India and in Russia. The first one is related to the establishment of a joint venture with the Indian company Jay Instruments and Systems Private Limited; the second one is focusing on the establishment of Antares Vision Rus, which will be 100 percent controlled.
In the Russian federation, starting from January, 1, 2020, the traceability of many products including tobacco, a lot of categories of food, shoes, perfumes, clothing, cameras and medicines will be mandatory. So Antares Vision has been organized in order to control this market, thanks to the opening of a direct branch which will rely on more than 20 employees by the end of the year.
