HARBIN, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Foreign trade of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province rose 6.4 percent year on year to 186 billion yuan (about 27 billion U.S. dollars) in 2019, local authorities said.
According to Harbin Customs, the province's exports saw an 18-percent increase, and its trade with Belt and Road countries rose 5 percent year on year in 2019.
The number of Belt and Road countries that have economic and trade ties with the province also reached 62 by the end of last year.
The province's trade with Russia has maintained stable growth, with the January-November volume increasing by 4.1 percent to around 116 billion yuan.
The province's ports also saw a cargo volume of 42.9 million tonnes, up 8.6 percent, and 4.04 million inbound and outbound passengers, up 13.2 percent last year, driven by the improved business environment.
The province has been making trade facilitation efforts and innovative measures to boost cross-border trade and deepen opening-up in recent years.
