SHIJIAZHUANG, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) – Local government of north China's Hebei Province has recently specified measures to facilitate high-quality development of the biomedical industry in Hebei Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), reported China News Service recently.
The measures include optimizing the quarantine inspection process of biopharmaceuticals, implementing one-time approval, and write-off for imported medical materials and equipment to improve the efficiency of customs clearance.
Meanwhile, under the new measures, the management of small-dosage of particular chemicals for professional use will be relaxed to support the establishment of warehouses in the FTZ.
In promoting the innovation and development of life sciences and biotechnology in Xiong'an New Area, enterprises would be encouraged to carry out new technology research in immune cell therapy, monoclonal antibody drugs, gene therapy, and tissue engineering.
In terms of business development, Hebei will strive to attract high-end investments and businesses from abroad and home, at the same time encouraging leading local companies to promote digitalization development.
As one of the new pilot FTZs approved in August this year, the Hebei pilot FTZ covers parts of Xiong'an, Zhengding, Caifeidian and the area where Beijing Daxing International Airport is located. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
