BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's software industry realized a profit of 651.8 billion yuan in the first three quarters, up 10.8 percent year on year, showing a stable development trend, announced the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Tuesday.
Revenues of software business maintained a rapid growth, with 519.86 billion yuan completed in the first three quarters, up 15.2 percent year on year, which is 0.2 percentage points higher compared to the growth of year-earlier period, according to the statistics provided by the MIIT.
The growth rate of software revenue of the whole industry in the first, second and third quarters was 14.4 percent, 15.5 percent and 15.6 percent, respectively, showing a quarterly increase.
In terms of exports, the software exports in the first three quarters reached 34.4 billion U.S. dollars, increasing 2.8 percent year on year, a growth slightly slower than the same period of last year. Among them, the export revenue of outsourcing services increased by 9.5 percent year on year, dropping by 2.7 percentage points from the first half of 2019, and that of embedded system software increased by 1.2 percent.
Data also show that the income from information technology services grew rapidly, especially that from technical services of e-commerce platforms. In the first three quarters, information technology services realized revenue of 3,067 billion yuan, posting a year on year increase of 17.2 percent.
In a breakdown, the revenue of e-commerce platform technology service, big data, cloud service, and IC design service increased respectively by 30.2 percent, 22.0 percent, 12.9 percent and 12.7 percent year on year, while other information technology services (IT consulting and design, system integration, operation and maintenance, etc.) increased by 14.8 percent.
