MILAN, Nov. 7 (Class Editori) – Enervit enters China through Alibaba. The sports food and nutrition dietary supplements company signed an agreement to join Tmall Global, the B2C market place by the e-commerce giant, founded by Jack Ma.
"We have learned a lot from sport. The sporting spirit is a positive energy that makes us better: this is our slogan, our belief. The same one which for over forty years has been supporting us in being close to the great world, Olympic, record holders, individual and team sports champions", wrote Alberto Sorbini, chairman of Enervit, in a note. "An experience that we are now proud to share with Chinese sportsmen, eager to open up to the experience of those who, like us, have contributed to creating a healthy sports and food culture, at any level. A special thanks to Rodrigo Cipriani Foresio for his exceptional collaboration".
"We are particularly proud to communicate the opening on our platforms of the Enervit store", said Rodrigo Cipriani Foresio, Alibaba general manager and Country Manager Alipay South Europe, adding that: "The opening of the flagship store on Tmall Global took place in a very short time thanks to the support and determination of the chairman of Enervit Alberto Sorbini and to the collaboration of VAR Group, Tmall Partner in Italy, and to the whole Italian team. China has always been a great sports market: doing physical activity to maintain the right balance between body and mind is part of the culture of the Chinese people and I am confident that the many products of Enervit, with a long history, passion and quality, will be in able to win over our 700 million active users on the platforms, young consumers, sportsmen and health-conscious".
The Chinese market for nutritional supplements can reach 40 billion dollars in the next four years, with a leap of 14%, allowing the People's Republic of China to surpass the United States as the first market in the world. A trend that is linked to the growth of the middle class. Consumption growth is also linked to greater attention to health and healthy living. The aging of the population should also be considered (by 2050 one third of the Chinese will be over 60). The promotion of the use of dietary supplements is therefore part of the strategy to protect health and quality of life. (All rights reserved)
