BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) – Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) held Thursday the 3rd China-Bangladesh Capital Market Cooperation Seminar with Dhaka Stock Exchange in Shenzhen to explore related cooperation.
The two sides discussed over such topics as serving the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Vision 2021 of Bangladesh government, China-Bangladesh financial market cooperation, and investment opportunities for Bangladesh businesses.
As China-Bangladesh cooperation in trade, investment and finance sectors keeps deepening, a batch of new growth engines for driving bilateral cooperation have emerged in new sciences and technologies fields.
In May 2018, a consortium including SZSE won the bid for stake in Dhaka Stock Exchange and hence, the two exchanges have been dedicated to improving important financial infrastructure of Bangladesh, carrying out pragmatic cooperation in technical system updating, small- and medium-sized enterprise board construction, and cross-border capital services and providing sustainable financial supports for Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar-Economic Corridor.
In May this year, the two sides convened the 2nd China-Bangladesh Capital Market Cooperation Seminar, on which they jointly kicked off construction of the Bangladesh window of its V-Next platform, an innovation and entrepreneurship investment and financing service platform for trade match between Chinese and Bangladesh enterprises.
