Abstract : A mission to China by Intesa Sanpaolo for the promotion of the Economic System of the South has started today in Beijing, with the collaboration of the Italian Embassy in Beijing, the China International Contractors Association (Chinca) and the support of Ice.

MILAN, Oct 18 (Class Editori) - A mission to China by Intesa Sanpaolo for the promotion of the Economic System of the South has started today in Beijing, with the collaboration of the Italian Embassy in Beijing, the China International Contractors Association (Chinca) and the support of Ice.

The objective is to present to the potential Chinese and international investors the Special Italian Economic Zones of southern Italy, with an event at the Embassy of Italy, where it has not yet been decided who will replace the current head of mission Ettore Sequi, now head of Di Maio Ministers' Cabinet, opened by speeches by Stefano Buffagni, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and of the Ambassador of Italy in the People's Republic of China.

The meeting will host the speeches of Xin Xiuming, vice-president Chinca, Massimo Deandreis, general manager of the Study and Research center for Southern Italy (Srm) connected to the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, of Francesco Guido regional director of Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Puglia di Intesa Sanpaolo and Pietro Spirito, Ugo Patroni Griffi and Sergio Prete, respectively presidents of the SEZs of Naples, Bari and Taranto.

This meeting will be followed by the event entitled Support for internationalization for Southern Italian Food & Beverage companies tomorrow, dedicated to enhancing export and distribution opportunities on the Chinese market, introduced by the Ambassador's welcome of Italy in China and by Amedeo Scarpa, ICE Beijing Director and ICE Network Coordinator in China, followed by the speeches of Francesco Guido, regional director of Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Puglia of Intesa Sanpaolo and of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China who will present the "True Italian Taste" initiative.

The promotion and support activity, which involves southern companies in this mission, is a concrete act and coherent with what was declared regarding the commitment of the bank by Carlo Messina, group CEO, who announced a disbursement plan for southern Italy from 30 billion euros in two years.

The mission in China also corresponds to Intesa Sanpaolo's strategy to support the internationalization of Italian SMEs in the world, when they face new international markets or if they intend to strengthen their presence abroad, thanks to the widespread and integrated overseas presence of a Group bank present in around 40 countries with specialists dedicated to companies in foreign branches, which guarantee coverage in 85 countries, also thanks to collaboration agreements with other banks.

The services cover every need of companies for export and internationalization: dedicated forms of credit, Trade Finance and Export Finance products, specialized consultancy and the synergistic collaboration with companies and institutional bodies dedicated to the foreign growth of the Italian economic-productive system.

The Intesa Sanpaolo Mission in China will continue in Quingdao, with participation in the main fair of the agricultural machinery sector in Asia, while a visit to the Great Bay of Shenzen and Hong Kong is expected for the beginning of 2020, involving SMEs in the hi field -tech and fintech.
