Fedegari Group, a global hi-tech player in the development of machines and systems for the production of sterile drugs which opened in China and Singapore in 2017, has enhanced its influence in the Asian market by opening a new branch in Hyderabad, India.
The new branch will mainly provide technical support to local clients which are mainly biological and pharmaceutical companies and have been working with Fedegari machines in India for years. The presence of Fedegari machines in India has been over 15 years.
"Indians don't want to save money, and they want high technology. They know very well that the pharmaceutical industry is shifting to India and they want to be at the forefront." Giuseppe Fedegari, Chairman and CEO of Fedegari Group, told MF International.
Today, Fedegari Group has become a big hi-tech company and a global player in sterilization and environmental pollution control solutions, with a turnover of nearly 70 million euros.
"We need to be as close to customers as possible to provide technical support for increasingly complex machines", highlighted Fedegari, "India is, at this historical moment, one of the key countries in the pharmaceutical market which is expected to reach 50 billion dollars in terms of trading volume by 2025", continued the businessman, "opening a new branch in such a country and keeping in close touch to our customers is strategic both in service quality and business development".
In 2017, Fedegari opened a branch in China, while this year it opened a branch in Russia. The company is also active in Switzerland (Lugano), Germany (Frankfurt) and the United States. It set up a technology center in Pennsylvania and a commercial headquarters in Singapore.
"Our machines are highly specialized and customized, the operators of which must be well trained, and it takes 6 to 18 months to design and produce them." Fedegari said.
Accordingly, machines produced by Fedegari are priced at about 250,000 euros each. These machines are hi-tech ones which are specifically designed for drugs that use variable packaging including tubes, plastic bottles or glass bottles. Around 200 machines are manufactured every year in the Albuzzano plant.
