BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- China saw more than 4.18 trillion yuan of local government bonds issued in the first nine months this year, reported the Securities Daily citing data from the country's Ministry of Finance (MOF).
According to MOF, about 1,667.57 billion yuan of general bonds and about 2,514.62 billion yuan of special bonds were issued during the Jan.-Sept. period, including around 3,036.71 billion yuan of new local government bonds which accounted for 99.43 percent of the planned quota for the whole year.
The new general bonds and special bonds issued took up respectively 100.32 percent and 99.06 percent of each of the planned quota in 2019.
Data also showed that local government bonds worth around 219.58 billion yuan were issued in September this year, including about 56.57 billion yuan of general bonds and around 163.01 billion yuan of special bonds. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
