BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) – China's express delivery industry supported online retailing sales of nearly 7 trillion yuan in 2018, Ma Junsheng, head of the State Post Bureau, said on Thursday.
According to Ma, China has remained the world's largest express delivery market for five consecutive years and more than 200,000 new social jobs have been created in 2018.
Ma also noted that the country should make efforts to guide postal and express delivery companies to enrich their products and provide more flexible, targeted and diverse services in a bid to meet the people's growing demands.
Last year, the total business volume of China's postal industry surged 26.4 percent year on year to 1.23 trillion yuan.
