InfoQuest (August 22, 2019) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said exports rose 4.28 percent in July, showing a positive momentum, according to the export report for July released by the Trade Policy and Strategy Office. Among the products driving the increase in exports were fruit, finished foods, soaps, cosmetics and household products, which were mainly exported to India and the United States.
The deputy prime minister hopes the Ministry of Commerce will continue to work with the private sector to boost exports this year and plans to invite the Joint Public and Private Sector Consultative Committee to hold a meeting on August 26 to discuss specific measures to promote exports in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
