MOC: 4.28 percent export growth, 1.67 percent import growth, and 110 million U.S. dollars trade surplus in July

Abstract : The Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO) of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) unveiled Thailand's international trade statistics in July 2019.

InfoQuest (August 21, 2019) -- The Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO) of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) unveiled Thailand's international trade statistics in July 2019. Data show that export volume was 21.205 billion U.S. dollars, up 4.28 percent despite a previous expectation of sustained slowdown. The import volume was 21.0946 billion U.S. dollars, up 1.67 percent, and 110.4 million U.S. dollars of trade surplus.

During the first 7 months (January-July 2019) in this year, the total export volume was 144.1756 billion U.S. dollars, decreasing 1.91 percent; the total import volume was 140.1221 billion U.S. dollars, decreasing 1.81 percent, with trade surplus 4.0536 billion U.S. dollars.
