BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The first batch of 80 Belt & Road key projects of Eastern China's Jiangsu Province has drawn over 130 billion yuan investment, said the relevant person in charge of Jiangsu Development & Reform Commission in a recently held investment conference.
In the first half of this year, the province has launched 164 new investment projects in the B&R countries and regions, with contractual investment totaling 2.69 billion U.S.dollars, up 46.4 percent and 130.5 percent respectively.
Besides, Jiangsu has seen increasing foreign trade with B&R countries in H1 this year. The province's trade value with B&R countries stood at 74.57 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.5 percent.
Jiangsu has rich experience in infrastructure construction, and owns most qualified construction enterprises in the country. Luky, vice president of the AIIB, expressed the hope that Jiangsu entrepreneurs will have an in-depth understanding of the AIIB's operating model so as to jointly promote the construction of high-standard infrastructure projects.
