BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The construction work of PK24 industrial park Phase I has recently started in Ivory Coast.
China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd.(CHEC) is responsible for the project's construction and development.
The industrial park is located on the outskirts of Ivory Coast capital, Abidjan. The first phase of the project has a contracted value of approximately 97 million U.S. dollars. Bank of China provides full commercial loans and the project duration is 18 months.
The industrial park has a total planned area of 940 hectares. The first phase of the project will be built on an area totaling 127 hectares and will count with basic facilities such as water supply, drainage, sewage treatment, power transmission and transformation, and communication projects in the park.
After completion, the industrial park will further promote the development of export trade and entrepot trade of Ivory Coast and enhance the economic status of Abidjan as a gateway city in West Africa.
