The German advertising company Stroeer grew considerably in the first half of this year in all areas of operation. Its revenue increased by 8 per cent to 787 million euros (883 million dollars), the SDAX-listed company announced on Thursday in Cologne.
Investments in the digitalisation of advertising media, a further expansion of local and regional sales, and increasing demand for digital out-of-home products were "pivotal success factors," said founder and co-CEO Udo Mueller.
The adjusted profit rose by 7 per cent to 84 million euros.
In addition to the core business of outdoor advertising, the digital advertising division and content such as the news website t-online.de also posted gains. The telemarketing and direct marketing areas performed well too.
Stroeer confirmed its forecast for the second half of 2019, continuing to predict mid-single digit growth.
