InfoQuest (August 07, 2019) -- Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, minister of Thai Ministry of Industry, announced relevant policies to the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE). The minister urged to accelerate the program to develop S-Curve industries, adjust the industrial structure of Thailand via circular economy theories in accordance with the government policies, upgrade labor skills up to the standard through the National Re-skill Platform, drive the use of i-industry system to provide comprehensive government services, take measures to prevent production base relocation, and commission the OIE to take charge of formulating guidelines for investment promotion and establishing links with overseas production networks, especially that in China.
Meanwhile, the ministry will work closely with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and industrial development organizations at home and abroad. The meeting with the FTI is scheduled on August 9, which aims to carry out discussions on the issues the private sector hopes the government to address, the supporting policies needing adjustment, and the factors that can fuel industrial development.
