Somkid to submit plan of economic stimulus measures to economic cabinet on August 19

Abstract : Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, deputy prime minister of Thailand, said that economic stimulus measures are being formulated currently, and are to be finished in the coming two weeks; the preliminary plan will be submit to economic cabinet on August 19 for deliberation.

InfoQuest (August 07, 2019) -- Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, deputy prime minister of Thailand, said that economic stimulus measures are being formulated currently, and are to be finished in the coming two weeks; the preliminary plan will be submit to economic cabinet on August 19 for deliberation.

Mr. Somkid said that he had urged all departments to formulate various measures prudently; as for the intensity of stimulus measures and specific budget, the Ministry of Finance should be consulted to.

As for measures to stimulate tourism industry, Deputy Prime Minister Somkid said that they are part of the economic stimulus measures of the Ministry of Finance; the specific details will be hammered out by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and have not yet been reviewed; before they are submitted to economic cabinet for the deliberation of all cabinet members, a meeting will be held to discuss all relevant details.
