BEIJING, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province, has recently launched an open platform focusing on big data security, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.
This is the first open platform in China to carry out government affair big data application, and also the country's first platform dedicated to building big data ecological cooperation.
Xiamen has taken the lead in adopting advanced data technology in the country to realize the separation of data ownership and use rights and successfully resolve the “last mile” problem of government big data opening.
The platform could be widely used in multiple fields, such as finance, health care, housekeeping services, intelligent customer service, tourism investment, etc., as part of efforts to allow government data to maximize the benefits of society under the premise of security protection, said Tong Pingping, chief engineer of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
It is learned that more than 40 big data enterprises and institutions nationwide have joined the platform so far.
