InfoQuest, (July 29, 2019) -- Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, deputy prime minister and minister of public health of Thailand, mentioned that after the announcement of the government policy, the immediate task of the Ministry of Health is to promote the medical marijuana. The executive department has made preliminary preparations for the promotion of the above policy at present, and will continue to discuss with relevant departments for the specific implementation.
Another urgent task is to develop a national health insurance system, and strive to do better in aspects which they are doing well now. The ministry shall give attention to establish a patient screening system before patients getting hospitalized, to solve the problem of too many patients for doctors and hospitals. Some Thais go to the hospital once they feel slightly unwell. If they can get preliminary consultation and treatment, they do not need to waste money or time to go to hospitals.
"Hospitals have to spare energy to take care of such patients, instead of devoting to patients who really need care. Therefore, it's necessary for local rural health volunteers to cooperate with doctors in treating and screening local patients with mild symptoms through communication technologies. Before that, we must train rural health volunteers for them to master basic medical knowledge and communication technologies to be used in their jobs, " said Mr. Anutin.
