CHONGQING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The China-Singapore international cold chain product trade platform was launched Thursday in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality in an effort to facilitate trade between Southeast Asia and China's western region.
The platform is a key project under the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, an intergovernmental cooperation initiative covering finance, aviation, logistics and transport, and information and communications technology.
Singapore-based DeClout Pte Ltd. and Chongqing-based Anodlink (Chongqing) Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. will jointly build the platform, offering cross-border direct purchase and support to traders in Chongqing and the western region, according to the companies.
"The platform will connect demands from both sides, integrate third-party service providers such as cross-border logistics and payment and customs declaration, and complete logistics chain tracking," said Jing Xuefei, chairman of Anodlink (Chongqing).
Sun Xiyong, deputy head of the management bureau of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, said the platform is expected to boost agricultural exports from China's western regions to Southeast Asia and further cut operation costs.
