OSAKA, July 17 (Xinhua) -– The Japanese Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, Inc. has launched on Tuesday a slew of applets in collaboration with WeChat Pay, a third-party payment platform run by Tencent.
The applets will enable Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores to provide Chinese customers with various services through WeChat.
Providing convenient and intimate services to Chinese customers is the key for Hankyu Hanshin Department Store to achieve business growth, said a person in charge of the Japanese company, adding that Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, Inc. will leverage these applets to upgrade its services in a bid to better meet the demand of Chinese tourists.
Li Peiku, vice president of WeChat Pay, noted that the advanced customer service concept of Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, Inc. exactly coincides with the product strategy of WeChat Pay, both of which strive to focus on the experience of user consumption.
