BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The information sharing under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has provided strong support for "going global" of the Chinese enterprises including Yili, said Zhang Yipeng, vice president of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd.
Zhang made the remarks at the inaugural meeting of the Belt and Road Economic Information Partnership (BREIP) in Beijing on Thursday.
BREIP is initiated by Xinhua News Agency and co-founded by more than 30 institutions including well-known news agencies, information service providers, research institutions, chambers of commerce and associations from 26 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Oceania.
Over the past six years, with the deepening of the BRI, information resources of the Belt and Road countries and regions have become the important data for government, think tanks, and enterprises to comprehensively understand the economic development and investment opportunities under the BRI, and make strategic decisions, said Zhang.
He pointed out that the establishment of the BREIP can achieve information sharing among its members, strengthen bilateral and multilateral information circulation, and build a "friend circle" of economic information interconnection worldwide.
As a health food producer, Yili has long been committed to providing the global consumers with healthy food. The company has proposed the concept of building a Global Health Ecosphere.
Health is a grand issue that requires the participation of all parties in the world. In particular, the economic information sharing is necessary to help the human beings solve health problems from a long-term perspective, Zhang added.
Thanks to economic information sharing, Yili has transformed a series of scientific research results into high-quality health products to serve the health of consumers around the world, according to Zhang.
