BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhua) – China’s civil aviation industry handled 268 million passengers in the first five months of this year, up 8.5 percent year on year, according to data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Domestic routes saw overall 238 million passenger trips during January to May, up 7.6 percent year on year.
During the period, about 30.207 million passenger trips to international destinations were made, an increase of 16.5 percent year on year.
Total transport turnover of the country's civil aviation industry increased 7.9 percent year on year to 10.78 billion tonne-kilometers in May.
