BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) – China has recently issued a guideline for comprehensive management of air pollution in Xiongan New Area in north China's Hebei province.
The move showed Chinese authorities' determination to further improve air quality and effectively solve outstanding environmental problems in Xiongan New Area.
In 2019, Xiongan New Area saw the average PM2.5 density drop by over 6 percent from 2018 and witnessed 60 percent of days with good air quality.
According to the guideline, Xiongan New Area will quicken the pace to carry out a series of well-targeted measures, such as improving the scientific and technological support, promoting clean energy heating, curbing pollutants from voltaic organic compounds, etc.
