InfoQuest, (May 17, 2019) -- Mr. Adul Chotinisakon, director general of the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), revealed that recently DFT held a road show in Nakhon Phanom for the Thailand-Vietnam version of Young Entrepreneur Network Development Program at the Frontier (YEN-D Frontier). The event was held to promote the project and invite budding entrepreneurs for it, especially those from Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Changwat Mukdahan. Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), Startup Thailand, and other public and private agencies participated in the event. The project plans to recruit 30 participants, including 15 budding Thai entrepreneurs and 15 peers from Vietnam.
"Vietnam is a fast-growing economy, and a potential export market for Thai products. Besides, in Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Changwat Mukdahan, a host of emerging Thai and Vietnamese entrepreneurs are engaging in border trade. Therefore, to promote trade with neighbors and boost investment, DFT will offer a Thailand-Vietnam version of YEN-D Frontier training program on July 22-27, 2019.
Based on the success of YEN-D over the past five years, it has won extensive recognition among young entrepreneurs, added Mr. Adul. In 2019, under the concept "trade follows friendship", DFT has organized three sessions of YEN-D Frontier: Sa Kaeo, Thailand-Cambodia program, Tak LIMEC program, and Nakhon Phanom, Thailan-Vietnam program.
