BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China’s Shaanxi province had its first fifth freedom traffic right flight, the Seoul-Xi'an-Hanoi freight route launched on Sunday, according to source with Airport New City of Xixian New Area.
Xi’an now becomes the first city in northwestern China region that obtains fifth freedom traffic right, which would lead Shaanxi’s international air transport towards higher level of development, said Wang Changyi, head of the CAAC Northwest Regional Administration, at the flight launching ceremony.
It is noted that the route is operated by Korean Air with B777 model planes in service and is currently scheduled to have one flight a week. The Sunday flight carries high-tech, high value-added products such as Samsung electronic accessories and semi-finished products.
