HEFEI, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese automaker Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd (JAC) saw its revenue grow 1.92 percent year on year to over 50 billion yuan (7.4 billion U.S. dollars) last year.
According to the annual report released by JAC, the Anhui-based company sold 230,000 commercial vehicles in China in 2018, including over 200,000 light trucks.
JAC said its new energy commercial vehicles got popular last year, with a sales volume of 3,600, up 380 percent year on year. Sales of its new energy passenger vehicles rose 125 percent to top 60,000 last year.
In 2018, JAC exported 74,000 vehicles, an increase of 13 percent year on year.
However, the sales volume of JAC's passenger vehicles declined in the second half of last year due to impacts of the downturn in the domestic passenger vehicle industry.
